Sarah Nehamen, Creator
Hello everyone, I am Sarah Nehamen, the creator of peeka-bu. I believe
that our perceptions of our selves create our reality. In a world where attractive is defined for women, we have to work harder to find healthy way to present ourselves in the world.
Later, I recognized that I could love my body as it is and then enjoy my beauty regiments as a way to enhance my appearance.

The peeka-bu Story
One afternoon in a hair salon, I was talking with a friend, Frances, during her three hour cut and color. This was not just a normal 'haircut,' rather a highly crafted short, yet chic, 'do' with just the right weave of bright highlights. I was awed by the skill and artistry of the stylist, expressing how difficult it must be for people to groom and style their own body. A playful conversation started about the "technical" difficulties of getting the right trim "down there." Frances shared her habit of shaving designs into her private hair, while expressing her frustration about the challenges of holding up a mirror and shaving at the same time. Several other women in the salon agreed that it was almost impossible to not mess up without the right mirror. As the conversation continued, it hit me like a lightning bolt. Soon peeka-bu was born and quickly hatched it's first product, 'The Intimate Grooming Mirror.' At last, a single mirror made for the private and hard to see areas of the body, one that provides the perfect solution for unnecessary cuts, nicks and bad shaving jobs. Furthermore, peeka-bu has the medical/gynecological benefit of aiding us to inspect this precious part of our anatomy. (Remember the moment in Sex and The City when Charlotte tried to look at herself with a handheld mirror?) And on top of that, the emotional and psychological break-through of just being able to see ourselves. The Company
Peeka-Bu, LLC is a Los Angeles based company. Our mission is to create products that help women feel confident, attractive and in command of their bodies. The first product, the peeka-bu Intimate Grooming Mirror, is the first ergonomically designed mirror that allows women (and men) to tend to those 'hard to see places,' filling a long awaited need in the personal care market place. With the help of the talented designers at 3DID, www.3DID.com, we have created the mirror in an environmentally responsible way. The peeka-bu mirror frame is manufactured in the USA with EcoPure, (www.bio-tec.biz) a biodegradable additive that facilitates microorganisms to safely degrade the product back into the earth. Also, all of our skin care products are 100% natural and free of toxins.Peeka-Bu in the community
Peeka-Bu, LLC. participates in charitable events to benefit the community. In January 2010, Peeka-Bu, LLC. donated mirrors at the Madison and Mulholland Charitable Gifting Suite before the Golden Globes. These were collected by celebrities who created gift bags for charities such as Help for Orphans, relief for the recent earthquake in Haiti and other selected charities by the famous elite. Stars such as Evan Handler (who played Charlotte's husband in Sex and The City), Joan Collins, Tom Calabra and Vanessa Williams (Melrose Place), Nick Verros (Project Runway) and many more showed up to support their favorite causes. Peeka-Bu also donated to a private Green Consciousness party in Los Angeles benefitting Haiti. Peeka-Bu will be involved in more exciting charitable opportunities in the coming year. We will be sure to keep you posted as these events come up!
